Predictions use the Riegel formula and assume you train for the longer distance. Marathon predictions from short races, and mile predictions from long races, tend to be optimistic.
Based on the race time you entered above.
Paces come from the Daniels VDOT model and are estimates. Slow down in heat, on hills, or when tired. This is general training information, not medical advice.
Save a result after each race to see your progress. Results are stored in this browser only.
Turn a time into a pace, or a pace into a finish time.
Every 0.2 mph from 5 to 25 and the mile pace it equals. Whole mph rows are shaded. Handy for treadmills.

Choose a recent race distance and enter your finish time in the race predictor. Finish Line Labs estimates equivalent times for other distances using the Riegel formula. These are estimates rather than guarantees: endurance, training, terrain and weather all affect race-day results.
Use the pace calculator to convert a distance and finish time into minutes per mile or kilometer. Switch to finish-time mode to find how long a run would take at your target pace. The calculator also shows equivalent treadmill speeds in mph and km/h.
The training paces table estimates easy, tempo, interval and repetition efforts from your entered race performance using a VDOT-based model. For treadmill running, expand the speed-to-mile-pace chart to compare speeds from 5 to 25 mph with their equivalent mile paces.
